Denix 1070 LeMat Revolver

The LeMat revolver was manufactured from 1856 to 1865, with an approximate production of 5,000 units. This revolver was used in the American Civil War being the favorite of the Confederate cavalry during the Civil War and was considered the most famous muzzleloader revolver since the American Civil War.
The first models were manufactured by John Krider of Philadelphia. Later the LeMat revolvers manufactured in France were sent to the Confederation through the forces of the United Kingdom, in their test marks included "Birmingam Cámara", which leads to the erroneous conclusion that the weapons were manufactured in the United Kingdom.
The first models were built in steel, with hickory handlebars, octagonal barrel. It was not considered a very accurate weapon, although if mortal at close range. It was manufactured in three versions Cavalry, Army and Navy.
