
From the second quarter of the nineteenth century there are numerous and unanimous testimonies that indicate that the Albacete cutlery was known throughout Spain and in various parts of Europe and it is known that within it there was a great expansion of the manufacture of knives from attack / defense, products that in this century became the most important of the Albacete cutlery workshops and that aroused much interest in foreign travelers who visited the town, their impressions being recorded in the writings published by some of them.
This book studies the great knives of the 19th century, from different points of view: historical contextualization, morphological and structural description, decorative analysis, classification and significance of the epigraphic content of their inscriptions and distinction and definition of the typology of the most elaborate knives. , the so-called classics. All aspects that are illustrated with numerous photographs and plates.
It closes the work of the consulted bibliography and a photographic sample of twenty representative pieces, each one with its respective catalog card.
