The tool you see is a handcrafted reproduction of a primitive flint-handled dagger, corresponding to those surely used by Neolithic man. The blade is made from a sheet of black flint from the Monegros desert, hand-carved using the pressure retouching technique, using a presser that is usually made of deer antler. The handle is made of oryx horn with a butt made of warthog ivory. It is firmly attached to the handle thanks to a hole made in it and is finally secured using resins such as gum arabic, plant fibres, tendons or dried animal guts and leather.
