Adrià de Andrés is an artisan knifemaker, burin engraver, and saddler. For over a decade, he has worked with jewelry and engraving with a distinctly medieval idiom: sober motifs, clear symbolism, and deep engraving accompanied by textures. This rigor was transferred to steel when, in early 2024, he began hand-forging knives. His main inspiration is antique American knives from around 1900, paying special attention to knife makers such as Scagel or Randall, or more modern ones such as Behring Made, Rocco Handmade, or Grizzly Forge.
Pieces designed for work, with balanced proportions and practical solutions. To this historical foundation, he adds his craft as an engraver, integrating fileworks and deep engravings that give him that nostalgic touch of a time when things were done without haste. He favors embossed or carved sheaths full of detail. He uses classic materials combined with modern ones for his creations—carbon steels, durable or stabilized woods, natural horn, synthetic materials, and premium leathers.
The result is work knives with a timeless and meticulous aesthetic: reliable tools, handcrafted individually, that respect tradition without sacrificing modern advances. Each piece has a clear purpose: to work, to last, and to recognize the craftsmanship when viewed.
