The French brand of Wildsteer knives was created on December 24, 2004. Wildsteer develops, produces and markets its own knives, designed by an engineer passionate about archery and an amateur blacksmith. This young company has built a reputation in France, Europe and the US thanks to the innovation and unrivaled quality of its first knife, the "Wildsteer".

Originally designed for archers, "Wildsteer" offers features that make it equally appealing to nature, outdoor, and woodland survival enthusiasts. Removing arrows, grappling, woodcutting, clearing, rigging, deburring and more - the main functions of this 100% French forged, one-piece straight knife. Removing an arrow stuck in the wood when drawing a powerful bow is often an archer's worst nightmare, as there is nothing practical on the market to remove it quickly and properly. Being both an archer and an amateur blacksmith, Edouard de BUYER's idea of designing a knife that fulfilled precisely this essential function came "naturally" to him. It took practice in the field (11 prototypes built and tested) to find the perfect balance between sturdiness (required for removal), handling and high quality of cut while still being able to use the knife during the hunting day or outdoors and by men and women. similar.

Once achieved, a patent on arrow removal and a Wildsteer signature leather shaft model were filed and the WILDSTEER adventure began on December 24, 2004. Danielle from BUYER, also an engineer, and very involved in the whole project, he decided to take charge and dedicate himself full time to creating and making this artisan business a success.
