The blade of this Buck 110 is crafted from CPM S45VN steel. This is a premium stainless steel manufactured by Crucible Industries in the USA. S45VN offers excellent edge retention, high hardness, and superior corrosion resistance. CPM S45VN was developed as the successor to CPM S35VN; it retains its edge even better than S35VN and offers even greater corrosion resistance. The blade features a "satin finish"—an elegant, tasteful, and highly popular look.

Over time, Richlite®—a paper-based composite material—will develop a natural patina that alters the material's original color. This patina is a natural characteristic of the product and may darken or lighten depending on light exposure.
