The original Cold Steel 4 Max proved to be everything we hoped for. However, manufacturing and delivering it on time to meet customer demand was costly and complicated. The Cold Steel 4 Max Scout is easier to produce and a much more affordable alternative. It features an extra-wide, drop-point blade with a stonewashed finish, identical to the original 4 Max. It is made from 5mm thick AUS 10A steel, giving it strength, hardness, and excellent edge retention. The handle shape replicates that of the original. Instead of a G-10 handle, the 4 Max Scout incorporates a Griv-Ex™ handle with stainless steel liners and a Griv-Ex™ back spacer. Equipped with Andrew Demko’s innovative Tri-Ad locking mechanism, the 4 Max Scout has passed all of our rigorous impact tests and has also withstood 272 kg of suspended weight without damage.
