Klinis

Klinis is a brand of knives and folding knives located on the island of Crete (Greece). This island is known for its tradition in the craftsmanship and manufacture of cutting tools such as knives, daggers and pocket knives that are traditional and highly touristy objects present throughout the island. The brand started in 1971, with his founder Mr. Klinis Ioannis, still a child, getting started in the art of making traditional Greek knives, together with the best craftsmen of the time where he learned the trade from him. Guided by the will and the appetite for work, having acquired the appropriate experience at the same time, he starts his own workshop with the minimum technical means. His love and passion lead him to the evolution of his art and technique, making his knives of the highest quality on the island. The cultural value of the Cretan knife allows the company's uninterrupted cooperation with most of the Cretan merchants to this day. Thus, true to the famous Cretan tradition, the children of Ioannis Klinis (Manolis & George) follow the path that his father has followed for decades. These Greek Cretan knives and folding knives include stainless steels and forged carbon steels among the materials they use, horn, olive wood or bone are very traditional for the handles. The blades of their knives often appear with traditional engravings of the island such as musical instruments, folklore and songs or historical poems.
