It all started in the 80s with a passion for Camargue racing. Didier Lascombe was then 20 years old and began a career as a professional skimmer. After a serious gore, he was forced to stop early. Didier then finds himself in Auvergne, a waiter at a hotel-restaurant. It was in this same region, rich in cutlery, that he had an idea: why not create a knife in the image of the Camargue, his homeland? Back in Nîmes, Didier still has his project in mind. Master craftsman in the art, he soon opened his own workshop in Bezouce in 1993, where the first Le Camarguais knife was born.
A family business, Didier is now associated with his son Clément, to whom he passed on his know-how and his culture of excellence. Surrounded by Christine, Robin and Manu, the father and son have developed an art of cutlery recognized by fans in France and around the world. For 28 years, the adventure of Coutellerie Le Camarguais continues and continues to reinvent itself...
