Millán Martinez was a cutlery artisan from Santa Cruz de Mudela, a town with a long tradition in the craftsmanship and manufacture of knives and pocket knives, who was born in 1921 and learned his trade together with Fabriciano Galván Trujillo who had his forge in said town. He worked in SOCU to pass once it was dissolved to Críspulo Delgado's forge. He ended up in the Gavilán factory until he settled on his own. Millán manufactured horn knives that he sold through his representative, while on the sidelines he dedicated himself to making pieces of knives for the other knives in the town. At the beginning of it, he used the Albacete punch (brand) because that is what the usual buyers demanded, and later went on to put his own MILLAN punch, abbreviated MIL-Sta. Cruz.
