Hubertus is a brand that manufactures knives and penknives based in the German city of Solingen, known for the tradition and quality of its knife industry. In its current manufacturing catalog, it traditionally produces many classic knife models made in Germany for decades with the best quality. Some of these old-fashioned products are still made today.
The first catalog of the Hubertus knife company dates back to the early 1950s and it was already marked with its current name “HUBERTUS”. This brand was acquired by Kuno Ritter in the year 1950 and illustrates the reorientation of the company with an emphasis on hunting and outdoor knives.
As one of several knife models that it offers, its catalog features a classic and well-known Waidblatt knife, which was made by Kuno Ritter in cooperation with Carl Eickhorn. It is based on the "Frevertschen Waidblatt" and is an iconic piece of German cutlery.
