Muhle (MÜHLE) is a world-renowned German brand in classic and luxury shaving, recognized for its combination of traditional craftsmanship, innovative design, and commitment to sustainability.
History and Evolution
Founded in 1945 by Otto Johannes Müller in Stützengrün, Germany, MÜHLE began as a small shaving brush workshop. Despite adversities such as a fire in 1949 and state expropriation in 1972 during the GDR, the company was taken over in 1990 by Hans-Jürgen Müller following German reunification.
Since then, MÜHLE has experienced steady growth. In 2008, the third generation of the family, Christian and Andreas Müller, took over management, expanding the product range and strengthening its international presence.
Innovation and Design
The brand has received awards for its design, with the HEXAGON series, developed in collaboration with Berlin-based designer Mark Braun, receiving the Red Dot Award and the German Design Award in 2017.
Commitment to Sustainability
MÜHLE is committed to sustainable practices, using environmentally friendly materials and responsible manufacturing processes. In 2023, it opened a new production facility in Stützengrün, designed with sustainability criteria and awarded for its architecture.
Global Presence
With flagship stores in Berlin and London, MÜHLE celebrates shaving culture by offering unique experiences that combine tradition and modernity.
In 2025, MÜHLE celebrates its 80th anniversary, consolidating its position as a leader in the luxury shaving market and reaffirming its commitment to quality, design, and sustainability.
