NN-Knives: Tradition and Excellence in Hungarian Cutlery since 1971
At NN-Knives, decades of artisanal mastery are combined with cutting-edge technology to offer high-precision cutting tools. Their story is one of a family passion that has transformed a small Budapest workshop into the leading name in handcrafted cutlery in Hungary.
From the Artisan Workshop to International Reach
Founded in 1971 by István Nagy, a master grinder, our company began by manufacturing medical instruments and hand-forged scissors. What started in a 40-square-meter space has evolved into a production facility in Érd, Hungary, where today we export our knives and cutting tools to countries such as France, Italy, Germany, and the United States.
The Fish Symbol
A Seal of Quality and Heritage, their iconic fish logo is much more than a brand; it is a symbol of resilience and authenticity that has accompanied them since their inception. Originally known as "the fish knives," today the NN (Nagy István Jr.) company keeps this legacy alive in every hunting knife, manicure scissors, and professional tool they manufacture.
Innovation in Survival and Bushcraft Knives in 2015
They made the leap into the world of outdoor and bushcraft, thanks to a collaboration with experts from the Hungarian knife-making community, developing the MKK collection, specifically designed to withstand the most extreme survival conditions.
