The Work Sharp Pivot has three different sharpening methods. The former is a free diamond coated whetstone with a medium grain size. The rising ends are tools that will facilitate sharpening at a 25 degree angle. The sharpening stone is open so that large tools such as axes can also be sharpened. The groove in the center of the stone is intended for sharpening hooks.

The second option is an aperture with two convex tungsten carbide whetstones. Run your knife through the slot a couple of times and you will not only sharpen your knife, but you will also create a convex edge for extra sharpness. The yellow part of this opening moves with the shape of your blade. In this way, perfectly straight sharpening results are obtained along the entire edge. The red sliding button is a lock that you can use to fix the yellow part. Therefore, it will no longer move so that the sharpener removes less material.

The third option is two fine ceramic sharpeners with an angle of 25 degrees. These shards are perfect for creating a razor edge or keeping your knives sharp.

The new Work Sharp knife sharpeners are the only ones that can sharpen convex knives. However, you can also sharpen knives with a V-edge. To do this, it is necessary to select the white ceramic sharpeners. As soon as you sharpen your knives on tungsten carbide sharpening stones, you can upgrade them with a convex edge. However, you will change the factory edge of your knife. Therefore, our advice is to spend a little more time with tungsten carbide stones if you are sharpening your knife for the first time with this sharpener.
