Start the sharpening process with more slurry by adding some Coticule powder to the water. You instantly have more garnets in the water, so sharpening is faster. Small scratches on the blade can be polished out by rubbing it with slurry. The scratches will be less visible or even disappear. One bag of Coticule powder weighs 20gr, is made of 100% Coticule and contains at least 25% garnets of about 5 to 20 microns in size.
