Naniwa The Naniwa Proffesional stones are an update to the Naniwa Super Stone series of sharpeners. Naniwa Serious Professionl Stones are an excellent product and in terms of quality they are superior to 90% of other stones on the market, these stones will satisfy even the most demanding sharpener. Naniwa's Proffesional range is made from magnesium resin and has a higher grit to fill ratio than Super Stones, leading to higher performance and excellent wear resistance.

For those familiar with Naniwa's CHOSERA stones, the Proffesional range has been developed as a more advanced stone with a greater focus on ensuring a uniform abrasive grain pattern throughout the stone and a more uniform hardness throughout the stone, which resulting in sharpening results superior to Chosera + environmentally sustainable packaging (no plastic base) is a great environmental move by Naniwa as the world moves away from plastics.

PRO differ from Super Stones in the following:

Requires a light soak (approximately 10 minutes)

Cut 30% faster than Naniwa's Super Stones

Even more durable, at least 2 times longer and excellent performance even on the hardest steels.

Naniwa Professional whetstones range from 400 to 10,000 grit and are all made using the same resin bonding process to provide a consistent "feel" during the sharpening process.

Important: Do not submerge this stone for long periods as it will degrade it.
