Natural stone for sharpening knives and razors:
The large Opinel natural sharpening stone comes from Ariège in the Pyrenees and has a fine grain. Made of schistose sandstone, it sharpens knives effortlessly and restores their sharpness.
Instructions:
Soak the stone in water for a few minutes and once it is soaked, place it on a cloth or piece of rubber to prevent it from slipping. Place the blade of the knife or razor at a 20-degree angle to the stone and slide the edge of the blade from one end to the other outwards while pressing lightly. If the blade is kept sharp regularly, about 5 strokes on each side is sufficient to keep it in its optimum condition.
