Windlass Square Pilum Roman 600008

This pilum is a replica of a very popular ancient javelin around 100 AD and is perfectly balanced. Made of tempered steel.

Square Pilum was the main weapon, along with the gladius sword, of the Roman legionnaire, well designed to nullify the defense ability of the opponent's shield. The short head could easily penetrate the opponent's wooden shield, and the long neck provided the distance that protected him from it. In this way, the shield was rendered useless, leaving the opponent unprotected. Made of tempered steel, the pilum would bend easily, preventing you from being pushed back. When the heat of the battle had died down, he could recover and straighten out. This javelin replica is a very common ancient version around 100 AD.
