The Böker Applegate-Fairbairn, in its various versions, has impressed law enforcement and combat teams worldwide for years, achieving iconic status. This tactical knife is based on the classic Fairbairn-Sykes dagger of World War II and was designed by Colonel Rex Applegate. This elite soldier coordinated covert operations across Europe during the war and was even assigned to the personal protection of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He trained Allied special forces in close-quarters combat and founded the School for Spies and Assassins at what is now Camp David. He later continued his work as a consultant and instructor, wrote numerous books on close-quarters combat techniques, and dedicated himself to developing and perfecting the ideal combat knife.

The smaller, more compact version of the Böker Applegate-Fairbairn is based on the same principles as the original design. The fiberglass-reinforced plastic handle, with integrated stainless steel counterweights, provides a secure grip, while the brass bolster offers added safety. The 440C stainless steel blade features a typical dagger-style double-edged grind on one side and a concave grind on the other. A convenient Kydex sheath and matching belt adapter are included.
