These knives, with an average blade length of 11.6 cm, are specifically designed for use with gloves (including heavy-duty heat-resistant gloves). The handle scales are uniformly made of heat-resistant G10 with a non-slip Dönges honeycomb texture. All knives feature a four-position reversible wire clip (for tip-up, tip-down, right/left carry), blades made of durable D2 steel with a ball-bearing pivot, serrations at the base of the blade for cutting fibrous materials, a retractable seatbelt cutter, and a glass breaker.

The all-black Professional Tactical model features a steeply angled tanto tip with a single-sided chisel grind. This design was specifically tailored to the needs of patrol officers and law enforcement officials who regularly remove license plate stickers when impounding vehicles. Before police equipment was standardized with the short extendable baton (EKA), the previous baton had a scraper specifically designed for this purpose in the handle. The removal of this feature on the new baton created a functional gap, which is now filled by the Dönges Professional Tactical. The blade can be opened either with a finger flipper or a thumb stud.
