The Gerber Paul Series II Model 2 pocket knife with a highly functional axial locking system is the successor to the Paul Model 2P (Series II, Model 1) pocket knife, introduced to the public by Gerber many years ago. This super-precision knife is slightly larger than the original and offers a tool of superior quality and utility. This knife is manufactured from various corrosion-resistant 400 series steels, heat-treated and tempered to their specified hardness. Using state-of-the-art machinery, all flat components are precision-ground to precise thickness and flatness. The high-gloss surface finish ensures smooth operation and a long life with proper maintenance. The axial lock is manufactured within a tolerance range that ensures consistent operation, meeting design requirements.

The handle liner is made of an engineering alloy of carbon fiber and nylon resin for strength, lightness, and durability. It is secured to the side plate with a precision threaded lock.
