Opinel maintenance oil is used to grease blades and ferrules, to nourish handles, as well as wooden cutting boards. Its use is simple. After cleaning and drying your knife with a soft, dry cloth, simply apply a few drops of the oil to a cloth and rub the blade and ferule together. Wait until the blade is dry before closing it. As for the handle, it must be greased evenly with a few drops of oil on a cloth.
