In all the variety of combat knives, the fully blackened versions are a must. Black versions are extremely popular not only for military operations, but also because of the special charisma of such a dagger and because of the additional protection against corrosion that the coating provides. And so it was almost our duty to also include the revised A-F 4.5 and A-F 5.5 models in such a variant. Hardly any other knife manufacturer has shaped the field of tactical knives as much as William H. "Bill" Harsey, his designs have earned him an excellent reputation in the knife world. The modification of the legendary Boker Applegate-Fairbairn designed by him combines the knife used by many elite units with modern elements. The increased blade width and more favorable geometry of the N690 double edge blade with a black PVD coating improves cutting properties, while the blade length offers an optimal compromise between handling and utility. The protruding blade spike at the end of the handle can be used as a glass breaker, among other things. The CNC-milled black Micarta handle scales are extremely strong, pleasantly structured and offer excellent grip when wet. Supplied with a high quality black nylon sheath from SpecOps.
